I read an article that raved about Trader Joe's Camembert cheese, so for this week's recipe video I decided to make baked Camembert with a black cherry spread. This is a simple appetizer that you can pop in the oven and enjoy with crackers or spread over crostini. You can add any favorite fruit spread on top to add an extra layer of flavor to your baked Camembert.

Caprese Pesto Flatbread

Inspired by a pizza my sister made me, I used the ingredients from my garden to make a homemade caprese pesto flatbread. Using a flatbread recipe from the Midwest Foodie, I topped this flatbread with homemade tomato sauce, fresh basil and tomato from my garden, pesto, and mozzarella. Serve this flatbread as an appetizer or enjoy it as an easy dinner.

Building off of the Italian ingredients from last week’s homemade pesto, I’ve used fresh ingredients from the market to make delicious caprese bites. Less than 10-minutes of assembly and you’ll have an impressive appetizer.
