My Top 5 Blogs from 2021

Published December 27, 2021

From baked feta pasta, bell pepper sandwiches, pasta chips, and salmon rice bowls, 2021 was a busy year of viral food trends.

I’m happy to say that as a foodie this year, I was able to accomplish a lot. I added product/ingredient reviews to the blog, took my first trip out of state since the start of the pandemic, and celebrated the new restaurants that have opened.

This year, I’m recapping my top 5 blog posts from 2021. Check them out below!

5. Yuki Japanese Restaurant

Yuki Japanese Restaurant was my most recent New Jersey restaurant review. Yuki offers a large selection of appetizers and the freshest sushi rolls. I have been to Yuki for both lunch and dinner and have had delicious food both times. I plan to return to Yuki in the future to try their entrees.

4. Gilligan’s Clam Bar

Gilligan’s Clam Bar was a New York restaurant that my sister and I visited for my birthday. I was blown away with Gilligan’s seafood selection. We had a full meal — appetizers, entrees, and dessert — and I would go back again to try even more dishes at Giligan’s.

3. Bell Pepper Sandwich

The viral bell pepper sandwich recipe blew up TikTok and Instagram this year. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make a version using my favorite ingredients — bacon, provolone, greens, guacamole, and more. This recipe is fresh, easy, and fully customizable for your preferences.

2. Cucumber Boats

Keto recipes were popular this year. This cucumber boat recipe was also a food trend which I tried as an easy workday snack. It uses whole ingredients and is easy to pull together. I can see why it’s popularity throughout the year made this post part of the top 5 of 2021.

1. Trader Joe’s Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream

This year as a part of my new category of product and ingredient reviews, I tried Trader Joe’s Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream. I never had mochi ice cream before. For this post, I learned about the history of Trader Joe’s and the background of how mochi is made. All around, this has been the most searched for post of 2021 and was a great product to try.
