I finally visit Taiyaki NYC in Chinatown — a popular ice cream shop, famous for its fish-shaped ice cream cones. I first found this on Instagram, as influencers and tourists shared their decorative fish-cones. Since I was already in Little Italy, I continued a few blocks down to Chinatown, home of Taiyaki NYC.
Since I was already visiting Alleva Dairy, I decided to pop into Ferrara Bakery and Cafe in Little Italy. I decided to rest my legs in their dining room and order coffee and dessert. Their fresh-made pastries made in house were spectacular. It’s no wonder they’re such a famous destination in Little Italy!
My second foodie-spot brought me to Little Italy. I popped into Alleva Dairy, the oldest cheese shop in the U.S. to see what I could try as a snack. I didn’t make the best choice to experience the authentic history of Alleva Dairy — but I am glad to share the photos and thoughts from visiting this Italian landmark.
